About W. Scott Koenig

W. Scott Koenig (aka. El Gringo) has traveled extensively around Mexico since the mid ’90s. His blog, AGringoInMexico.com, reports on Mexican destinations, culture, events and cuisine. He also blogs for Baja.com and has been published in the Baja Times (Baja’s largest English language newspaper), Destino magazine in Los Cabos, The Yucatan Times and the Oaxaca Times. Additionally, he is “Chief Chowzter” of Tijuana and Oaxaca for Chowzter.com.

The founder and creative director of Koenig Creative LLC in San Diego, a full-service design and marketing agency, Scott is a seasoned creative director and graphic designer with 30 years of creative management experience. His award-winning work has been featured in international design publications and receives accolades from the design community as well as his client

Scott’s  “Death Row Meal” would consist of Pescado Zarendeado, a traditional grilled fish dish served along Mexico’s Pacific Coast, with a full regiment of ceviches, shellfish and other fresh Mexican seafood served in Sinaloan and Sonoran styles.

About Ursula Koenig

Ursula Koenig is the Social Media contact and collaborator on multiple special projects for AGringoInMexico and Escape to Baja that focus on tourism and lifestyle of Baja California and all of Mexico. She is also a freelance interior designer for residential, hospitality and model homes. Ursula is passionate and comfortable with the creative process.

Ursula also designs jewelry. Casa Blah Blah is her boutique line offering a range of handmade semi-precious statement jewelry and gifts, themed after my travels. Her work appears on Etsy and is sold at the Rustic Sparrow in Escondido.

Ursula will soon be opening a boutique in the Valle de Guadalupe at AlXimia winery. Stay tuned for details!
